The duration of surgery depends on the tumor’s size and complexity. After the tumor is removed, the tissue is sent to a laboratory for detailed analysis to determine whether it is benign or malignant.
Following surgery, some patients may require additional treatments such as radiation therapy, chemotherapy, or targeted therapy to destroy any remaining tumor cells and reduce the risk of recurrence.
